艺术家汪建伟
汪建伟(微博)于1958年生于中国四川，现在北京生活和工作。汪建伟一直在探索知识综合与跨学科对当代艺术的影响，尝试使用不同学科的方法去创造新的艺术语言，为此，其艺术作品呈现多元样式，跨越电影、戏剧、多媒体、公共艺术、绘画等领域，参加过多个艺术节、电影节、戏剧节及各种展览和学术研讨会。汪氏曾获邀参加国际上大型展览，当中包括德国卡塞尔文献展、意大利威尼斯双年展、巴西圣保罗双年展等。2008年更获得美国当代艺术基金会2008年度艺术家奖。
Wang Jianwei
Wang Jianwei (b. 1958) was born in Sichuan， China and currently lives and worksin Beijing. Wang has been exploring the integration and influence ofinterdisciplinary knowledge into contemporary art practices. He has beenemploying a variety of disciplines and methods to search for a new artlanguage. His works are hence multifaceted in nature because of the use ofvarious mediums， ranging from cinema， to theatre， to multimedia art， to publicart and painting. Wang’s work hasbeen exhibited in numerous art festivals， film festivals， theatre festivals，exhibitions， conferences and artist symposiums， including documenta (Germany)，Venice Biennale (Italy) and the S~ao Paulo Art Biennial (Brazil). In 2008， hewas the grantee for the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in the United States。
